In 2003, after nine years of feigning interest in electronic payments for the US Federal Reserve System, Leif Pettersen – originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota – was Kramered into being a homeless, shameless, godless freelance travel writer by an unbalanced friend.
Leif’s Lonely Planet work has appeared in Romania 5, Eastern Europe 10, The Europe Book, Bluelist 07, Tuscany and Umbria 6, Italy 8, LonelyPlanet.tv and the LonelyPlanet.com blog. He is also a regular contributor for Global Traveler magazine.
