1) There will be no train connection from Wien to Kyiv from new timetable. They cut connection to Bratislava-Kyiv....

Don't worry about marshrutska's - they still run pretty often like every 15-30 minutes during the day, but only till app.8pm

Definitely tickets and not pass. The only place where you might consider pass is Switzerland, but there it really depends on your route...

Direct carriage from Kyiv to Praha - 1268 UAH (includes sleeper reservation), but it is possible to cut the price too ;)

There is everyday Zhytomir-Baranovichi train from Korosten to Bobruisk (#330, 17:58-2:02, obshyj - 105 UAH, platskart - 157 UAH, kupe - 240...

I would go with Grodno, no wonder it is considered to be the most beautiful town in Belarus ;)
