About me
I’ve lived in Uppsala, Sweden; Aberystwyth, Wales; London, England; Hanoi, Vietnam – and Denmark…
As a child and teen, my parents took me to France like seven times or so, and to many other places in Northern, Western and Mediterranian Europe – and to Australia once. A trip to Thailand in 1999 really got me hooked on travelling and since then I’ve been to:
2000 – France (again. But with so many regions and such good food you can’t really get too much, right?): Auvergne and Languedoc
2001 – Crete
2002 – Rome, Berlin, Thailand, Laos, England
2003 – Sweden, Helsinki and England
2004 – New York, China, England and Wales
2005 – Wales, England and Scotland
2006 – Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia – and England again…
2007 – Spain, England and Scotland
2008 – England
2009 – Nowhere – boo :-(
2010 – Damascus and around Syria, Petra & Aqaba, where next?
I’ve been talking about the Middle East for ages, and my grandparents still don’t get it. So I’d better get going, both to assert my independence, and to end their anxiety
