You now have two votes for the old lighthouse at Cape D'Or. I haven't actually stayed there, but I've dined in the restaurant owned by the...

About me
I am a Life Transition Coach, author, artist, poet, retreat facilitator and lover of all things Portugal, especially off-the-beaten-track Algarve.
Twice a year, in spring and autumn, I offer retreats and culinary experiences in the Algarve for people who like to live life with passion. My clients are folks who are independent, curious, adventurous and who like to hang out with others of a similar approach to living.
My plan is to never retire. I am blessed to have amongst my friends and clients many people who are showing me the way. There’s Catherine. At 93 she’s still teaching Tai Chi! And Cathy who still leads corporate leadership programs for women as she approaches 70. Evelyn is a women’s travel specialist. Also approaching 70, she has a monthly newsletter that reaches 68,000 women and joins me in being committed to ageing disgracefully!
So much becomes available to us as we get older. We lose so much of our fear of other people’s judgement; we have clarity about what’s important to us.
I’m a keen social media maven who maintains a number of blogs, is active on Twitter & Facebook and now beginning to explore the world of on-line forums. Who knows where it will all lead. But one thing I know for certain – I will not be a lonely old lady locked in a room somewhere subsisting on tea & toast.
Here’s to a wonderful second half of life filled with friends young and old. Here’s to travel to keep us curious. Here’s to new media that means the world truly is our oyster!
