About me
I’ve seen a good bit of the world: lived in Japan, Brasil, Ecuador, Colombia, UK, Ireland, Australia & currently Brunei, and travelled in most of Asia from India eastwards, North, Central & South America, East Africa, Oman, Australasia, & a few spots in Europe. High on my wish list are Ethiopia, Eritrea, Namibia, Mali, the ’Stans, Alaska, Spitsbergen, South Georgia… Vague plans for next few years to do silk roads from Xian to Istanbul; another stint in S. America, some long overlanding down through Africa and more trekking in the Himalaya. Hiking, trekking, meeting local people and experiencing how they live, local music, and getting my tongue round unusual languages are highlights of my travels.
