 Former foreign correspondent and journalist, and now a self employed media and public relations consultant and would-be-if-I-could-be photographer. Hobbies are travel, cooking (mainly Indian, SE Asian and Middle Eastern), rock climbing and writing for pleasure as opposed to the crap I churn out for clients, but which pays rather well. I also enjoy being an annoying bastard :-) as those in the Women Travellers branch know.

    I use Giogio Armani's "ACQUA DI GIO". On fems my preferance is for any of the Prada or Issey Miyake ranges.

    Haven't been to Thailand beaches, and so can't comment. But if all you want is beach and beer, I'd go to Bali and stay at Jimbaran Bay....
