Going solo, nice, .....having a travel buddy even better:)

I am flying out to South-East Asia next week and stay there for over a month. So far I have nothing planned really, but several ideas what I would like to do.
So far The Phillippines, Sabah region including climbing mount Kinabalu and a week of surfing are at the top of my list.

If anybody has advise or even better is in the region and wants to join me, please let me know. Especially a nice surf/dive spot would be good to know.
