    Valley of Flowers

Valley of Flowers Mid september is the wrong time for this destination. But if i had not taken this opportunity, i might have missed out totally. Worth the trek, even though there were no flowers. The 'autumn' scenery was breathtaking nevertheless.

Addition for WHAT NOT TO DO IN CHINA!!

Don't take the 'local' tourist boat for the 3 Gorges trip.
We did and thus missed out on a lot of things and all with an empty stomach. We couldn't eat the food, understand the announcements, or stomach the spitting bowls on the boat.
It was, for all these reasons and others that made it a memorable trip. Could have earned the cost of the trip if we had charged the very nice chinese tourists on the boat when they took our pictures, the only 2 'yindus' (hindus) there.
