About me

Travelling is in the blood. My parents were refugees and covered half the world in their escapes from tyrannical regimes and war during the 1940s. I started to travel solo at the age of 5, and once I was old enough to continue without the police’s interest there was no stopping me.

75 (ish) countries to date, and many close shaves, exciting adventures and wonderful people met along the way.

Now writing about travel is my work, and will always aim to travel more than I have time to write about.

    It's great to be part of this group.

    My blog is 501 places, and I am posting a story each day, with a photo from a place I have visited. It's been a lot of fun writing about my memories so far, and there's plenty left to keep me going (and new trips too of course)!
