About me
I am living my second youth. In 2009 I turned 50 years old, and as time goes I discover that there are quite some advantages: the second youth has more freedom, less pressure and no fear that I won’t make it to a reasonable job and never get a family. I did what I was expected to do and it wasn’t that bad. Studying is worth a diploma which is worth chances, which are worth choices, which are worth work and income and this all is worth freedom.
I don’t think travelling makes one a better person. Lots of people don’t go away from their birthplace and they are good and intelligent. Tourist or traveller, who cares? If people are happy I am Ok with it. In my case I go around to satisfy my curiosity about others in general, specially the people living in other continents. Until now I discovered that we are all more a less the same. There are many more things that make me equal to others than different.
I like to go away and to go back home and all that is part of my daily life. Sounds boring but I need a home and a sense of belonging. As departure day approaches I even start wandering if I want to go away. But then I do go and for a month or some more I live from place to place and meet lots of people. Eat lots of different food and see many sights. At the end I remember the people. Those random meetings with people that are so nice that you just want to stay one more day…
If I would write a book it would be called " how to survive life". It isn’t always easy to look on the bright side, but a positive attitude is the difference between the winner and the loser, even when the winner looses….So I enjoy and am thankfull even for the little things.
I am a rather social person. Prefer to travel with others than alone. However will never go around with people who use drugs or who think it’s nice to get drunk and wasted. Follow strictly the laws and codes of the countries I visit and won’t travel with people who think/do otherwise.
