My first few trips, between 2001-2004, focused on separate areas including Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia, the USA, Mexico and Central America, Morocco and South America.
I spent most of 2005 on the Subcontinent, my favourite place in the world. I met Monika Albrechtova in Nepal and since then we have lived, worked and travelled together. In 2006 we visited Indonesia, Borneo and the Philippines. In early 2007 we travelled overland through West Africa from Ghana to Morocco, across to Spain and back to Prague. Later in 2007 we flew to Hong Kong and travelled through China, Mongolia, Russia and the Baltic nations back to Prague. On both trips we crossed the Czech border in the evening and had to stay in the border town overnight, which is always a nice excuse to re-acquaint oneself with decent beer!
In October 2007 we moved to Iceland where we lived and worked for a year amongst the incredible landscapes and made many friends. Later, we took a battered old Hyundai that we inherited on the ferry to Bergen and drove through Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany back to Prague again.
After a winter in Norwich we left again in March 2009 on a 9 month trip from Prague to Cape Town overland.
We took a grand last voyage during 2011-12, a round the world trip to Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, back to South East Asia and to the USA and Canada.
