About me

For many years I was too busy working to consider travelling, although I did drive all over Ireland with my job. By age 35 I had only ever been to London (twice) and a few places north of there like Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon.

In 2005 I took a break for a couple of months to take a trip to New Zealand, Singapore and Japan. It turned me into a Travel Junkie!

Since then I’ve tried to fit in a few more countries. My current travel history:


England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Catalunya, Netherlands.


Japan, Singapore.


New Zealand.


I know, it’s a pretty weedy list. I wasted my youth working too hard. To make it look better, note how I divided Great Britain into three and Spain into two. I’ve also driven through Belgium, Luxembourg and a small part of Switzerland. I don’t count those countries though, as it was part of a bigger trip at the time and we didn’t stop anywhere.
