About me
Libby and I enjoy exploring and immersing ourselves in the culture, history, and flora and fauna of Mexico, Central America, and South America. Since my early retirement (“el jubilado”) in 2004 opportunities for travel have only increased for us. Since our first trip south of our border seventeen years ago, we have visited and re-visited much of Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica and Ecuador. Many countries still left to visit. Because Libby’s passion (and work) is teaching people about the natural world (particularly birds and butterflies) we rarely go anywhere without binoculars around our necks. One of our favorite ways of immersing ourselves in the countries we visit is to periodically live with a local family, study spanish and do volunteer work.
