About me
Tenzin is from the Everest region, where for several years he was a porter and translator carrying loads up to 7,000 meters for climbing expeditions. Tenzin then became an English-language tour guide in Lhasa and worked for Tourism since 2004 till now. Tenzin is best known from the Lonely Planet Tibet guidebook as “MC Tenzin.” He is a pioneer in the Tibetan rap scene, where he rapped about Tibet and Buddhism during performances around Lhasa. He has since hung up the microphone and focused his energy on practicing Buddhism and meditation.
