About me

I am a lifelong professional salesperson, travelling all over the USA, especially the Southeast, over the past 10 years or so.

Married, to the same woman no less, for more than 26 years. 2 fabulous daughters, one in college and one travelling the world and building her own online empire: www.jasminewanders.com and www.southamericatourist.com. While working and living I’ve managed to squeeze in some time to become a martial artist, though that’s a bit dusty, an avid reader, especially of Philosophy and motivational books, and even found some time to enjoy the beautiful and under-appreciated Tampa Bay area.

I’ve started a blog/travel site to try to extol the many virtues of Tampa Bay and that’s inspired me both to reach out to the travel community and find ways to enjoy my home town even more.

Our biggest trip so far has been to Hong Kong, with a little side trip to Shenzen on business. We loved it! Our only other international destinations have been to Toronto, Montreal and Trinidad. My wife is from Trinidad and that wonderful Caribbean family has adopted this typical suburban American. Both my girls are equally Trini and American which is fantastic.
