About me
Arrived in Coldfoot, Alaska on about May 15th after another trip up the Alaska Highway. We will be in the Dalton highway/Brooks Range area until about September 15th.
Countries I remember visiting are Canada, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, W. Germany, East Berlin (1986), France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Belgium, England, Thailand, Laos, India.
Drove the Alaska Highway round-trip 4 times (RV 2x, Honda Civic 2x) spending 6 summers and 1 winter mostly volunteering with Alaska State Parks. Chena State Recreation Area (33 miles NE of Fairbanks), Bird Point (Chugach State Park), Byers Lake (Denali State Park), AK Fish and Game Potter Marsh. Also volunteer at Denali National Park most years for a week or more. Lost count of number of times visited Denali National Park (over 15 times) in all seasons. Sitka, Alaska at Tongass national Forest summer 2010.
Hiked and backpacked much of Alaska.
Grew up in a midwest University town, lived in DC, Philly, NYC, Rio Grande Valley, Mile 96 of Seward Highway, Alaska, Las Vegas area, and visited every state many times except New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Hawaii. Also lived in Mannheim, West Germany during mid-80’s. Lived many other places including Caye Caulker, Belize on volunteer projects of 4 months or so.
