I was born in the UK and moved back and forth between the UK and New Zealand for a few years before settling in NZ to complete a degree in Biology. New Zealand wasn’t the place for me and I now live in Australia. As my love of wildlife is now satisfied, I have finally found a place I love living.
During my degree, I travelled twice to the Amazon Rainforest and fell in love with the tropics and its animals. I then completed a scholarship at the Australian National University and went on to complete a Master’s degree on mimicry in tropical rainforests (Batesian mimicry of ant-mimicking salticids if anyone’s interested) and now aim to help protect, and to ensure people get a positive experience from visits to, the world’s tropics. The more people getting a positive experience of the rainforest, the more martyrs for biodiversity and tropical forest conservation (in the words of E. O. Wilson).
