It seems almost every building along this stretch of coast is available for rent in some shape or form. Much of the accommodation is in the midrange bracket and consists of self-catering apartments, villas and bungalows, often with terraces or balconies for viewing the sunset. We strongly advise sticking to the main road that carves a path near the coast – we ventured inland hoping to find tucked-away treasures but instead stumbled upon filthy by-the-hour bedrooms.

The usual suspects of the villa-renting business manage a slew of properties in apartment-ridden Trou aux Biches and Mont Choisy.
