Lonely Planet review
Things move rather slowly at the Imperial, in keeping with the old-world interior (it dates from 1865) and vintage patrons. It's tucked away in the heart of residential Sliema, and inside you'll be impressed by the lobby's chandelier and grand sweeping staircase. The rooms don't quite live up to the expectations raised by downstairs, but they're comfortable and well equipped (you'll pay more for a garden/pool view and a balcony). Facilities include a courtyard garden and restaurant. There's access for guests with disabilities. Pay a bit extra for a view.
