Lonely Planet review for Soho Free House

Rather dimly-lit British-style pub spread out over two floors serving, allegedly, Malaysia’s biggest selection of draught beers. It shows live sports on satellite TVs on Saturday and gets rowdy in an expat sort of way some nights.

    Disgusting

    aroyseeker does not recommend this,

I visited that place today, I ordered a steak and ale pie. The pie had gone off so I left it intact. When they come to collect it I ask the waiter if he was going to ask me why I had not eaten it, I got a blank stare. I insisted and he asked, the I told him the pie had gone off and was unedible. He then came with teh bill that did ,of course, include the pie, I told him again that I could not eat since the pie was unfit for human consumption, send the bill back, after 5 mionutes another bloke showed up, told him the same story and send the bill back again. 5 minutes later the first waiter showed up again , again with the same bill. I asked him if it was joke, he looked upset and took the bill away. In the mean time waiter number 2 was accusing me of trying to dodge the bill, then the manager showed up. TotallI guess to try to intimidate me into paying teh pie, at theat time I had already lost my patiente. I told him fine i will pay for the oie and I will report you both to th tourist office and of course over the internet. The pie's price was 15Rm ( 3 measlye pounds)
