Kota Kinabalu by Night with dinner
Feel the dynamic heartbeat of Kota Kinabalu at night as you explore its colorful night market, enjoy its panoramic night skyline from above and dine on traditional Malaysian cuisine.
KK's main market is a place of delicious contrasts. Huddled beneath the imposing Le Meridien, the market is divided into two main sections: the southwest end is given over mostly to produce, while the northeast end (the area around the main entrance) is a huge hawker centre where you can eat your way right through the entire Malay gastronomy. A fish-and-food market extends to the waterfront; the closer you get to the ocean, the more the scent of salt water, death, blood and spices envelops you – an oddly intoxicating experience. If you've never seen a proper Southeast Asian market, this place will be a revelation.
