Lonely Planet review
It doesn’t matter how busy it gets at this beloved Hainanese kopitiam, the staff remain calm and polite. Skip the Western dishes and go for the house specialities such as toast with homemade kaya (coconut-cream jam), roti babi (deep-fried bread filled with shredded pork and onions) or the fried Hokkien mee noodles. Its roast rolled pork with apple sauce, available from Friday to Sunday, usually sells out by 2.30pm.
