Located 8km northeast of the city centre, the world's largest pewter manufacturer offers some very appealing souvenirs made from this malleable alloy of lead and silver. You can try your own hand at creating a pewter dish at the School of Hard Knocks. The factory has an interesting visitor centre (to get here, take the LRT to Wangsa Maju station and then a taxi) or you can visit the retail outlets in KL's malls.
