A huge banana-yellow and palm tree-green canteen opposite Central Market serving huge portions of delicious mamak food. Fresh coconuts are chopped open at the entrance to provide a refreshing natural accompaniment to the spicy dishes served inside.

    Good, cheap food.

    Great restaurant. For a couple of weeks this was the place you could find me around 6pm. Roti canai (see photo) is served in the morning and after 5pm. It usually comes with both dahl and fish curry sauce. Break off a strip of bread, dip it in either sauce, then enter heaven.
    The music (local radio) is very loud so you don't really hang around here to discuss the finer points of high art, but the service is good and the food is cheap and excellent. One roti costs about a ringgit -- order at least three.
    Wash down your meal (the menu is huge) with a teh terik (warm, sweet, milky tea).
