Getting there & away

Antsirabe is 170km south of Antananarivo. There are three taxi-brousse stations: the northern one for transport to Antananarivo (Ar7000, four hours) and all points north; one in the southern end of town for transport to Ambositra (Ar5000, two hours), Fianarantsoa (Ar10, 000, five hours), Miandrivazo (Ar10, 000, five hours) and Morondava (Ar15, 000, 15 hours); and another one on the western edge of town for transport to nearby villages.
