Letna Bavča Kaneo information
There are three terrace restaurants dipping their toes in the water at Kaneo and this one is marginally considered the best. A fry-up of plasnica (a diminutive fish commonly eaten fried in the Balkans; 190MKD), plus salad, feeds two cheaply, or try other Lake Ohrid specialities such as eel, carp or local lake fish belvica – the location doesn't come much better than this.
Letna Bavča virtually sits in the shadow of the Church of Sveti Jovan and it makes a great pit stop before or after a visit; there's even a small ramp where you can enter the water if you're desperate for a dip (though be warned, this is still a restaurant – not a beach-and-bikini bar).
