Introducing Moselle Valley
Welcome to one of Europe’s smallest wine regions. The wide Moselle River forms the border with Germany, its steeply rising hillside banks covered with seemingly endless vineyards. In summer the scene turns a beautiful emerald green and the slopes are so neatly clipped they look combed. All along the riverside from Schengen to Wasserbillig you’ll find a succession of villages and winery towns on both the Luxembourg and German sides. While none are visually outstanding, scenes are picturesque north of Ahn and above old Wellenstein village.
