Lonely Planet review for Bock Casemates
The Bock Casemates is a honeycomb of damp rock galleries and passages carved under the Bock by the Spaniards in 1744. Over the years the casemates have housed everything from bakeries to slaughterhouses and garrisons of soldiers; during WWI and WWII they sheltered 35,000 locals.

An underground warren of tunnels
fiona263 recommends this,
Allow at least an hour to fully explore this underground warren. Tunnels weave throughout the 'Bock' promontory and all the ups and downs will leave you guessing as to where you actually are. The excellent Wenzel Walls Walk starts here so combine the two to avoid backtracking.
