Meet the Presenters

    Asha Gill
Asha was born in Kent, raised in Malaysia and wanted more than anything else in life to be a hairdresser. Setting out to fulfill her dream, she studied quantity surveying and worked behind the scenes in British telly before fronting a chart show in Malaysia.

Finding a new home at Channel V she hosted, wrote and produced a swag of shows, including the interview show Asha Meets. A cover shoot for Time magazine, interviews with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears and a role in Eve Ensler's smash hit Vagina Monologues finally put pay to the desire to colour and rinse.

Asha's passions are now cooking, singing and pretending to be one of the Powerpuff Girls. Her greatest ambition is to be cast as an ass-kicking female baddie.

    Toby Amies
Toby was born, like heavy metal, in the English industrial city of Birmingham and raised in the nearby apple orchards of the Vale of Evesham. After mastering the art of tractor driving while still in his teens, he tried art college and university on for size before launching himself on British pop television on BSkyB's Power Station.

When the power was zapped, Toby donned his DJ hat and fronted local radio shows in America, before hosting a zillion and one music and movie shows for MTV. He's interviewed everyone from John Lydon to David Lynch, been a special correspondent on Michael Moore Live, and taken a turn behind the camera on several short films and pop videos.

Toby's passions are music, photography, film, art and industrial-strength farm machinery.
