We are planning our second trip through Baltic countries with the campervan and would like to get as many tips and advises as possible. We traveled through Baltic States last year and spend some nice 2 weeks on the road with the rented campervan. We already saw a lot, but there is still a lot to explore. Even just to enjoy a wild nature would be good enough, because prices are very low in these countries. I would like to know your experiences from traveling in Lithuania Estonia and Latvia with…
I'm cycling the Baltic and not sure if I'll be able to get a Russian visa. Do you know if I can take my bike on the train? I've had some trouble with trains in Italy before and don't want to get stuck. Thanks!!
I'm looking for the cheapest way to get from Vilnius to moscow, either by road or rail. I cant take a flight because ill be traveling on transit visa and entering moscow by flight gives me only 3 days of visa. so i'm looking to go by either train or bus which ever is cheaper.
Thanks in advance.
I'm currently planning my vocation am I am planning to stop by in Lithuania.
I was wondering, if I visit Latvia for 3 days, is that enough to enjoy my stay in Vilnius or should I stay longer or shorter? Can I get around and enjoy everything Vilnius has to offer in 2-3 days?
Is it possible for me to meet someone, a local, and tour me around during my short stay? I'm willing to pay food while we tour around with him/her. Are the locals friendly to tourists?
Hi all - I'm heading to Lithuania for six weeks for work, and as you can guess I've got some questions...
How expensive is it on a daily basis? How does Vilnius compare to New York or LA in average expense?
I'm going in April - not ideal I'm sure. What are the best things to see and do on weekends?
How accessible are other countries like Poland or Finland? Is Helsinki a feasible weekend trip?
Anything else I should know (or ask about?) My lodging is covered by my company, so thats not a…
I have 4 days in mid July where I will be based in Copenhagen but was looking to do a short trip somewhere else, looking at Latvia or Lithuania.
Any suggestions for best city to fly in/out of in these places, either one, or a combo?
And how easy is it to do day trips to sight see if I want to get outside the cities? Either public transport or tours.
I'm looking for a mix of cultural/history and nature/walking. Will be more on a hostel/low cost carrier/public transport budget.
Any suggestions for 2 weeks in Lithuania? Thinking of going there in October and land and depart from Kaunas. Would like to base myself in 3 locations and can take easy day trips from there to nice places and nature. I was thinking Kaunas, Vilnius and maybe another location. Do you know of any good itinerary planners/guides to take me where I cannot reach by public transport as I don't drive while I'm abroad. Thanks.
Someone recently asked about buses from Liepaja to Klaipedia. I want to go the other way from Klaipedia to Liepaja in June.
The Ecolines bus does not run on the day I want to travel so I am exploring alternatives. I have seen elsewhere about the bus which leaves from Akropolis Mal and would like more information on it. Also I am wondering whether I can get any information on the minibuses which run from Palanga to Liepaja - wht time do they leave and where do they start from?
I want to have a few days here next summer.....
Any tips on whether it is better to stay in the town itself, or somwhere on the Split?
We won't have a car.We want to rent bikes and ride around the Split for a couple of days.I understand that we can stay in the city and take a ferry to the Split?
Or are there any nice little villages to stay in,where we could cycle from?
