Museum of Cats
Museum of Cats information
Cat-lovers will certainly want to venture out to this museum southeast of the centre to see an unusual collection of feline memorabilia, including endless displays of porcelain cats and photogenic felines on the walls. There are even a couple of live cats on the premises that shadow you as you take in the various rooms. In the back room, there’s a mini-zoo that will likely appeal to kids but may give animal-rights activists pause. The various animals, including possibly the most frightening-looking albino python ever locked in an aquarium, as well as a few mice, a monkey and a couple of owls, were abandoned by their owners and seem to be adequately cared for here. The problem is the small cages, which lend the site a slightly forlorn feeling.
