Lonely Planet review

Wicker armchairs and loveseats line the wide verandah at Tides, which looks out over the ocean. Inside, find the cocktail list scribbled on a blackboard (try the bissap margarita), a pool table and a long bar beneath a safari-lodge ceiling. The kitchen – which serves sandwiches, cassava fries and crispy fried plantain, known as kelewele – opens after 4.30pm. There are movie nights and special events.
