Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a bit our experience with latviatravelandtours.com. My husband and I went to Riga for the weekend and were looking online for something special to do in Riga when we stumbled up this website. After a few back and forward e-mails with them, we decided to take the soviet and KGB tour. We met our guide Andrejs at the Central Market where we had a very interesting tour. Andrejs was very knowledgeable about the history of the buildings and also made us taste some…

This summer my husband and I have got three weeks to get from Vilnius to Tallinn. I'm thinking about staying in Riga for a week in the middle, and doing day trips out of there to visit the country. Good idea or not? For what it's worth, we're not huge art museum people, but we like markets, history museums, architecture, hiking, outdoors activities. We just thought that way we could easily self-cater for a few nights, but I'm wondering if it makes more sense to just keep travelling to really do…

Hi,

I'm currently planning my vocation am I am planning to stop by in Latvia.
I was wondering, if I visit Latvia for 3 days, is that enough to enjoy my stay in Riga or should I stay longer or shorter? Can I get around and enjoy everything Riga has to offer in 2-3 days?

Is it possible for me to meet someone, a local, and tour me around during my short stay? I'm willing to pay food while we tour around with him/her. Are the locals friendly to tourists?

Hello folks, I will be visiting friends in Gdansk and Helsinki later this year and I am looking for you advice on how to get from Gdansk to St Petersburg. Is it possible to drive through Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia via hire car - it doesn't look very far or can we catch buses and trains? Would one day in each country be enough and 2 nights in St Petersburg. Any information you can give me will be gratefully received. Thanks, Jan

I'm planning a family trip to Riga and Gauja National Park, but I would like to have a clue how the weather is like in middle March. Can we expect snow around Segulda at this time of the year? We would like to make some cross-country skiing or snow board but I don't know what are the conditions this year (in my country this winter is very mild - no snow as usual).
Also any recommendations of budget places to stay in Segulda?
And what you suggest as things to do with teenagers in Riga?

Thanks.
