Lonely Planet review
This is one of Vientiane’s cheapest guesthouses. The rooms are clean, but very basic, and the atmosphere is very laid-back. It’s popular with backpackers, particularly Japanese. Some rooms have hot-water bathrooms (US$5), many others have no windows – check a few.
Our independent authors have visited Mixay Guesthouse and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Vientiane.
