Crossing the borderAlthough Thailand was amazing and there was still so much we hadn't seen, we had to keep moving to stand any chance of completing our ambitious itinerary and seeing Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia in little more than 5 weeks. We decided to cross the border from Chiang Khong in northern Thailand to Huay Xai, a small riverside town in northern Laos.
