Lonely Planet review
Rooms here are delightful, old-world creations in a genuinely antique house behind heavy wooden gates. Decoration with framed embroidery and painted trunks adds to the joy. The solitary bathroom suffers from an ever-running toilet and a water heater that's rarely turned on, but rooms remain a great deal and this is a good place to meet other travellers, especially when the brilliant old Russian-style dining room downstairs is operative.
Our independent authors have visited Yak Tours Hostel and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Karakol.
