Blog: My Travels My Experiences - 29 January 2012

Last weekend my husband asked me if I would like to visit the wholesale fruits and vegetable market of Kuwait. I jumped at the idea, as the weather was good and we had not explored Kuwait for sometime as one or the other personal work tied us down for the last few months. I knew that it’s near Jahra but was not sure of the road. But with Jeet at the driver’s seat there is nothing to worry about.

  5. Gold Souq,Kuwait

Blog: My Travels My Experiences - 12 June 2011

Gold is one of the most favorite among all precious metals and Middle East is extremely famous for gold and gold jewellery. It is said that Middle East gold is pure and free from adulteration. But I really find it funny and irritating when people back home say that gold is very cheap here. They think we can get it at peanut rate. I have visited the gold souq at Dubai and has visited the many gold souq's/ markets here in Kuwait. No shop-keeper will give you gold at less then market value, but it is the making charge that makes all the difference.

  11. Q8 National Guard

Blog: My Travels My Experiences - 22 February 2011

The department/stall which attracted the largest number of visitors in Mishref was the Q8 National Guard. Officers were moving about in their nice and smart olive green dress, explaining to anyone who asked them questions. They even distributed nice detail brochures, water bottles, chocolates and pastries. We too were attracted to go and spend some time, and Jeet was busy clearing his doubts about the forces. He was confused weather they were part of the military forces.
