I am planning to travel to Kosovo next month and I would like to ask your opinion for the following: I am planning to take the 21.30 bus from Belgrade-> Pristina, which arrives at Pristina bus station around 3.30/4am. What I would like to know is, is it safe to hang around the bus station at this hour? (I am a female solo traveller and from previous experiences arriving in a bus station at this time of the morning can be quite intimidating).
Alternatively, would you suggest instead…
Are these the only available buses from Prizren to Tirana?
It seems as though there aren't any buses between 07.30 and 16.30.
I am travelling the Balkans for 4 weeks this summer and I'm having problems / worries regarding bus travel between countries and Kosovo and it affecting my entrance into Serbia. If someone could help me out it would be appreciated.
My route is Bosnia - Montenegro - Macedonia - Kosovo - Serbia - Romania
I understand that to enter Serbia after visiting Kosovo I have to re-enter Serbia via a different country as they do not recognize Kosovo as a independent country which is fine.
I am travelling to Sofia in May. I want to travel onwards from there to Kosovo (esp Prinszen) and Macedonia to Lake Ohrid. I will finally fly out of Skopje.
Is there any bus between Sofia and Kosovo please? What is the journey time?
If there is no public transport available here is there any other way to coordinate these destinations please?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi, I have looked online and into the Kosovo Lonely Planet a bit, but am very curious for recommendations on a 1 week trip to Kosovo. Would love to do some hiking and see some of the sights, stay at a few places with great atmosphere. Don't want to spend too much time in transit, so maybe 3 bases for exploration, starting and finishing in Pristina. Any suggestions?
