Lonely Planet review for Hapa Hapa Restaurant

Advocated vehemently by its regulars, this waterfront eatery is a bit more informal and African under its low thatch than your average.

amazing avocado fruitshake! wondeful food! great people :)

    shoshim recommends this,

walked in looking for a good cheep lobster, they said i can order one for tomorow, after being all over the island looking to satisfy my craving i was hot sweaty and tired,(not that its such a big island but you get cought up walking around) hold off the lobster for some other day (almost everywhere in africa they dont have expensive food always availble, they want you to order in advance for fear of loss and waste, you get used to it..) i had a great cold fruit shake, the best i had on the island, got friendly with the staff and came back for lunch the next day, Agnes(one of the co-owners) insisted i try the avocado shake, now i was horifide at the idea but went for it anyway, she was quite convincing. i got to tell you, it was the most amazing fruit shake ever! ofcourse drinking a whole avocado i bearly touched my pizza which was also delicious, the avocado shake i think was one of my african hilights.
