Almaty's best and trendiest coffee house, with a relaxed atmosphere, fabulous cakes and pastries, a range of good coffees, teas and juices, and free wi-fi internet. On weekend evenings it morphs into a pre-party gathering spot, with DJs providing the sound on Fridays.

Kafe Keruen
The covered outdoor area here is a nice place to watch the passing parade on pedestrianised Zhibek Zholy, though the food doesn't quite live up to the promise of the exotic menu which includes Galician molluscs and fajitas El Paso as well as a huge variety of shashlyks.
