Hi there,
Does somebody knows if I could find an ATM in Aqaba airport before passport control in order to pay the visa?
Also I have found different versions about the visa there. Is there a visa for free in that airport? Or everybody have to pay? Or it depend on nationalities?
The local agency of Turkish airlines said to me that the departure taxes foy my international flight are included in the ticket, but also I have found that everybody has to pay theses taxes before leaving. Who is wrong? In…

Hi all,

Wondering is it best to rent a car from Aqaba for about a week, or getting a local to drive us around for a negotiated price.

Would like to go to Wadi Rum, Petra, Dead sea, Madaba, Mt Nebo and Karak.

My wife and I just returned from 10 days exploring bits of Jordan and I cannot recommend the country highly enough. It exceeded our expectation in every sense. We had a strong sense of safety and security, and loved the history and culture of the place. Every person we dealt with was pleasant and welcoming. We spent a few nights in Amman, visiting the Citadel, Jerash and the Rainbow Street area.

We hired a driver with very good English and knowledge to take us the Dead Sea, Madaba, Mt Nebo…

Visited Dana 7/15-17/15. Thought both the Dana Guest House and Rummana Camp Grounds were nice. Better food and customer service than in Wadi Rum. The view from both, especially the Guest House were great. I went on a guided hike not listed in the guide book. It was nice, two hours walk down into a wadi south of Dana. Steep rock scramble down and steep climb back up. Saw the blue lizzards and "jackal" pups at a cave mouth.
On the down side, locals do not appear to take care of the village…

This was not easy to find. The sign mentioned in the guide is gone, as is the communications tower. Coming south from Karak about 35 kilometers, you will get to a police check point, very small town, and the road to the Tannour reservoir dam. About 2.5 K past that, at the top of a hill, on the right, there is a concrete block sign with Arabic writing. The road in is a rocky, dirt, track, but passable by car. At the end you will see where the commo tower was. As noted, a very steep, 15…

I am in the midst of planning a combination trip to Israel, Jordan and Egypt around the first 3 weeks of September 2015. I would like to go with a small group of women who are laid back and fun, preferably ages between 35-60's. I live in Northwest, N.J. I will be registering for a single room supplement but would like to go with others I know so I'm not solo during the tours and activities. I'm currently looking into different tour options/companies. So far, it's looking like the costs for the…

Looking at doing a 6-8 day tour of Jordan, stay in Jerusalem and do day trips of Israel and would also like to cross to Cairo for 1-2 day look at Pyramids. Most feedback says better to fly into Amman than Tel Aviv (coming from Australia). Thought were do Jordan tour then go to Jerusalem for 10-14 days and maybe fly to Cairo for day tour of Pyramids or bus to Eliat and 2day tour to Pyramids. Any comments…

Hi,

I'm looking to travel Amman to Tel Aviv. I've heard Trust International Bus company runs daily buses from Amman to Tel Aviv. Has anyone taken them? And do you know if they are still running buses from Amman to Tel Aviv?

Thanks!
