Lonely Planet review for Fakhr el-Din

The highly recommended Lebanese food and elegant, classy setting in a 1950s villa make this a great place for a minisplurge. In addition to the extensive à la carte selections of hot and cold mezze and meaty mains, there's also a good set menu (minimum four people), which is good value. Alcohol is served. It's about two blocks behind the Iraqi Embassy in Jebel Amman.

    Perfect But...

    jordanwide recommends this,

Very calm and old Villa, just one block from Orange Telecom, not far away from Jabal Amman Main street, it is located in an old location of Amman, it is also located near Iraqi Embassy, and Islamic College where his Magesty King Hussien II studied his early classes.
despite the place has no remarkable view to downtown nor the seven hills of Amman; the inner place has a lovely eastern touches. food is delicious especially mezze, chicken wings, and lamp meat or chicken Barbeque. prices are relatively fair in comparison with this prestigious place, BUT I believe that the resturant management has to take care more about the responsibilty toward the community, the reason why I say that is that I noticed in someday early morning a bad smell comes from a near garbage litter place, I think they need to participate in getting red of this although they have a very clean place inside and around the resturant.
