Lonely Planet review for Blue Fig Café

Travellers always seem to appreciate the global coffeehouse vibe in this supercool place near Abdoun Circle, which offers an extensive and imaginative mix of world fusion dishes. Throw in some seductive world music and the occasional poetry reading, and you’ve got a winner. And, honestly, where else could you get a ‘Kyoto green tea and mint flavoured crème brulée’?

Great menu, international and upper crust crowd.

    bintbattuta recommends this,

The Blue Fig seems to be a standard for wealthy Jordanians, and is a really comfortable place for internationals. Extensive menu - all sorts of appetizers, mains, pizzas, etc, with its own unique flair. Interesting architecture - two floors with open rafter ceilings and such. They also have an in-house bakery that makes some great breads in the morning. Alcohol is served. Lots of big-screen football events in their downstairs lounge. Be ready for a lot of cigarette smoke!
