Lonely Planet review for Grappa

Stylish wooden benches and B&W photos on the wall give this rustic bar a hip feel but it’s the huge windows with views and the summer terrace seating that really draw the crowds. There are decent pizzas, salads and manaqeesh (Arabic bread with herbs) but the drinking takes priority.

    Great place for wine and a view

    bintbattuta recommends this,

    Grappa (and Salute, which is the name for the lower part of the restaurant), is a great place for a relaxed meal and/or drinks with a great view and trees. Grappa has a very nice internal courtyard, and Salute has the patio overlooking the valley. Menu is pretty standard for this type of place in Amman - pizza, chicken, steaks, fish, salads. The steaks and the fish were great - the asian salad was not as good. A decent variety of wines (ask for the wine menu, as it's not on the main drink menu), and the shisha is good, especially on the patio. One of our favourite places in Amman!

    Excellent food, ambience and service in Italian food.

    Good variety of Italian specialities (pizza, pasta, salads). Great quality, reasonable prices and the service is fantastic: efficient and quick.
    The food is really tasty and the ambience very pleasant.
    Very good for a quiet dinner with conversation or having fun with friends. So it is good basically for everyone who knows how to appreciate good food and a good place to have it.
    Located close to the Iraq Embassy in a quiet street, surrounded by trees and with the perfect temperature and lighting.

    Good for: anyone who likes good Italian

    Not good for: fast food addicts
