I really need some great advice for my upcoming trip this August to Japan.
Will be there for 2 weeks.
My first time there so I am not sure how to plan so I hope to get most of out of places I want to go with the JR pass.
I am planning to get just a 7 day JR pass as I think a 14 day would be a waste. But it seems the itinerary may go beyond the 7 day pass by a day.
My flight is in and out of Narita and I cannot changed it as there are penalties for any changes.
I am not sure, so kindly let…
Hi all, I am working on a plan to travel to Japan for a month and a half. This is the first half of my three months of travel. I plan to leave the beginning of September and be in Japan till the middle of October. I am looking for any recommendations on how to travel through the country. I plan to start in Tokyo and head north for a bit then make my way down to the south as well. If anyone has a suggestion on the order of places I should see that would be greatly helpful.
I ma planning our family of 4 (two grown sons) trip to Japan in August. We plan to stay for 4 days in Tokyo, then head to Shibu Onsen (snow Monkeys area), then to Hakone, then Kyoto and possibly Hiroshima. I am not entirely sure if this is the best order possible and also how much time to devote to each destination. I was thinking that 4 nights in Tokyo should be OK and 2 nights in Kyoto. Our older son studies in Japan for a semester and he is suggesting that we rent a car and…
I am planning my next trip to Japan in October, but I have some doubts.
We will arrive to Tokio next October the 13th at 7.15 am to Haneda airport.
We would like to go direct to Shingu .
We will buy the JR railpass.
I have checked and I think I have to go from the airport to shinagawa station by train and from there to Nagoya.
Is it that the correct way ?
Do you think I will have enough time to take the 9.40 shinkansen Hikari to Nagoya ? Is it covered by the JR railpass?
I'm arriving at Narita at about 3pm on June 6th and I have family arriving on the evening of the 7th and the evening of the 8th. It seems from everything I've read that I can see most of what Narita has to offer in a day (most articles suggests to only spend a day there). I was planning on hitting an onsen while I recover from jetlag, but aside from seeing the main sites off the main drag, is there anything I should seek out in Narita? Are there any worthwhile day trips? I'm going to be spending…
Does anyone know of any cool abandoned places in Japan like old theme parks, buildings, ghost towns, etc? Preferably not problematic to visit (as in getting in troubles with the law or local security)? I'm also interested in haunted houses/buildings/spots. I know it's a bit of a niche :), but it would be cool if anyone could help me out!
So I'm flying with ANA from Bangkok to Haneda.
And I'm staying at Hotel Sunroute Plaza in Shinjuku.
The hotel have recommended I take this Limousine Bus: http://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/platform_searches/index/4/17
I'm a little confused about the process to get the ticket and where to find the bus.
It's just not that clear a process on their website IMO.
Here's the 3 things I need to know:
- Does ANA flying from Bangkok arrive at Haneda Terminal 2?
Hello Im about to book a trip to Tokyo with my 12 year old son and 70 year old father in October time. We will have a lot of different boxes to tick! I'm relatively confident with independent travel but having so many different things we want to do combined with zero local knowledge, I am finding it really difficult to decide which area to stay in! I'd like to know how long travel around the different areas of toyko takes by subway or train or bus (i don't hear much about buses so far!) We…
I'll be moving to Tokyo and looking for a fitness gym near the Roppongi area. Is there any gym that anyone would recommend that is close by?
Thank you for any info!
