Lonely Planet review
You wouldn't guess this place has been running for over 60 years from its tidy, well-maintained Japanese-style rooms. The owner speaks little English but is very friendly and the central location is excellent. Facilities are shared; breakfast is available for ¥1000.
Our independent authors have visited Yamane Ryokan and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Shimoda.
