Lonely Planet review for Gompachi
The Glien Passage theme-park is home to every conceivable type of restaurant, though this traditional izakaya gets top marks for its sweeping views and delicious robatayaki (grilled skewers). There is an English menu here, though with wafting aromas of roasting meats, chickens, fish and seafood filling the air, it's not necessary to look at a menu to figure out what you want to eat.

Nothing from what I expected it to be, except for the view

As for my first experience in Tokyo I was excited to try this restaurant who only got good reviews on all sites I checked prior to booking a table for me and my girlfriend. I had big plans for this reservation for me and my girlfriend's future, but due to the disappointing surprise of the atmosphere in the restaurant, which I expected to be very nice and quiet and a perfect situation for a proposal, my whole plan went down and got postponed for a more improvised solution.
If you are looking for a quick snack and a beer, or a bottle of sake, this is the place to be. If you are looking for a nice romantic dinner with a beautiful view on the Rainbow bridge, this is definitely not the place to be.Good for: beer, snacks, sake, skewers, Rainbow Bridge view
