Lonely Planet review
More like a modern hotel than a traditional ryokan, the family-run Annex Katsutarō has spotless, thoughtfully arranged tatami rooms with attached bathrooms. Though a bit of a walk from the sights in Ueno, it’s ideal for exploring the old Yanaka district. Breakfast and bicycles are available for a small fee.
Our independent authors have visited Annex Katsutaro Ryokan and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Ueno & Around.
