Charming, slightly shabby and a steal, this hotel built in 1924 has both Western- and Japanese-style rooms. There's a red carpet and a vintage vibe, though the economy rooms are rather plain. Rooms in the Original Wing have shared facilities. Exit west from Kamakura Station, take a sharp right down the alley and look for the art-deco sign.
