Lonely Planet review
In the wooded hills north of town, this cute, well-kept guesthouse has Western-style rooms, a spacious dorm, homely lounge with log fire and English-speaking staff who are a great source of info. Take advantage of the afternoon pick-up service, otherwise it's around ¥700 by taxi from the station. There is also a newer guesthouse across from Tōbu Station.
Our independent authors have visited Nikko Park Lodge and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Nikkō.

We offer comfortable western style rooms with one to four beds per room. We can accomodate solo travelers, couples, small groups and families looking for a truly Nikko experience.
Please join us for dinner in our homely dining room complete with log fire. We offer traiditional Zen cuisine, homecooked by our in house chef as well as wine, sake, and imported as well as locally brewed beers.
We provide tours of the Nikko area. These tours are a wonderful way to get a local's view of the most fabled natural beauty in Nikko. From Autumn leaf, to snow capped mountains, this tour is rewarding and enlightening during any time of the year.
We also have a location in the city, Nikko Park Lodge Tobu Station. Our new, beautiful location is adjascent to the Tobu Train station; less than one minute walk.
